Will ‘STUART’ arrive with a Big Bang (or FAIL)?

The Big Bang Theory was a massive success… both as a scientific concept and as a primetime comedy series. It’s already spawned two spin-offs: Young Sheldon (where Iain Armitage played a younger version of Sheldon Cooper, originally played by Jim Parsons) and Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage (another prequel following the misfortunes of Sheldon’s older brother, Georgie).

Now comes a third outing and one that’s quite different from its predecessors.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is more ambitious – a single-camera production, but one with a very cinematic feel. The premise is that Stuart (Kevin Sussman) accidentally activates a prototype being worked on by Sheldon and Leonard (Johnny GaleckiĀ ) and ends up travelling the multiverse alongside other BBT characters, including Lauren Lapkus (as Denise), Brian Posehn (as Bert) and John Ross Bowie (as Kripke). It is believed other familiar characters might also appear in cameos.

There is now a trailer to give audiences an idea of what to expect when the series premieres its ten-episode season on HBO Max starting on 23rd July.
