Thrice and Fire: HOUSE OF THE DRAGON S3 debuts in June… (trailer)
The Game of Thrones continues its casualty-count as its prequel, House of the Dragon, returns to HBO Max on 21st July for its third season.
The new season, which will run to eight episodes, is set to pick up right at the point that Season 2 left off, with the Targaryens, Hightowers families and various other aligned and interested parties on both sides heading to war with historical confrontations such as the ‘Dance of the Dragons’ and the ‘Battle of the Gullet’ and is expected to cover the events of George R R Martin’s book Fire & Blood, ( a prequel story forming part of the A Song of Ice and Fire era of his mythological tale).
Returning faces include: Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower and Steve Toussaint as Corlys Velaryon.
It has been described as being more brutal than ever, which is quite saying something…
